South Pacific Region: University of Sydney Site
The is the site for the ACM Sydney Regional Competition.

September 13th, 2008 will see sites
across Australia and New Zealand compete in the South Pacific
Regional Contest for the ACM Programming Contest. The
Contest, sponsored by IBM, involves thousands of teams internationally.
Top teams from each regional have the honour of representing the country and region
in the finals, which will be Canada.
The competition involves teams, each with 3 students at 1 terminal,
working over 5 hours.
The regional competition runs for Australia and New Zealand will select
teams to represent the region at the world finals.
Note that we are having a friendly competition/practice that all Sydney
region teams are invited to. It will be similar to the actual competition
and will be held 2-7pm Sunday 31st August.

Parking
There is parking available at the Shepherd Street carpark ($6 for the
weekends and evenings). There is also excellent public transport access
to the university. (About a 10min walk from Redfern station and very
close to the routes of many buses, including those which go along
City Road.)
Tentative Contest Timetable
- 11:00 Arrival and registration
- 11:15 Introduction and contest instructions
- 11:30 Familiarisation with the environment
- 12:00 Contest starts
- 17:00 Contest ends
- 18:30 Presentations to teams.
